I live in a small town on the northeast end of the Great Plains. It’s surrounded by farming country with basswood forests breaking up the field divisions. The small streams are all heading to the Minnesota River in the valley once carved out million of years ago by Lake Agassi and its drainage basin. It’s quiet here. Some others come from traveling through the southwestern part of the United States.
