I have a friend who lives in the small town of Mendocino and she had invited me to come visit and paint. The town started as a lumber and fishing village in Northern California in the mid 1800’s, but is now primarily an artist community. The entire town is located on what they call a headland, a strong granite arm that points out into the Pacific. I stayed for ten days in January 2007 and these are the paintings from that visit. And now in 2008 I have returned
and heading south down the coast.
